Funding & Independence

How AUREN Is Funded

Because AUREN gives guidance on AI safety, its independence from AI and platform companies matters. Here is what that independence rests on.

Community Interest Company

AUREN operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC), legally bound to operate for community benefit, not private profit.

Statutory Asset Lock

AUREN operates under a statutory asset lock — all surplus is reinvested in child safety research and free public resources, not distributed as profit.

No Shareholders, No Ads

No shareholders. No advertising. No data monetisation. AUREN is not funded by selling attention or data.

No Commercial Influence

AUREN does not accept sponsorship from technology platforms, AI companies, or any organisation with a commercial interest in children's data. Recommendations are independent.

Full Financial Disclosure

As a Community Interest Company, iFairy Studios CIC is required to file a CIC report and accounts with Companies House each year. Specific funding sources, grant details, and CIC registration number will be published here once confirmed and cross-checked against the official Companies House record — we don't want to publish a number or figure here that could be wrong.
