Terms of Use

This page is pending formal legal review. It reflects how the service actually works today, but has not yet been confirmed by a qualified legal professional as a complete terms of service.

What AUREN is

AUREN Guardian AI is a free information and guidance service provided by iFairy Studios CIC, a Community Interest Company registered in England & Wales, to help parents, carers, and educators protect children online. AUREN provides general guidance and general legal information — it is not professional safeguarding advice, individual legal advice, or a substitute for contacting the emergency services or a qualified professional about a specific situation.

In a crisis

If a child is in immediate danger, call 999. AUREN's Crisis Response guide and the AI chat assistant are designed to point you toward CEOP, Childline, the NSPCC, and other UK specialist services — they do not replace them.

The AUREN AI assistant

  • AUREN's AI may occasionally produce inaccurate information. Always verify critical decisions with professional advice.
  • The AI cannot replace qualified safeguarding professionals, legal advisors, or law enforcement.
  • In a crisis, always contact emergency services (999) or specialist organisations (CEOP, Childline) directly.
  • AUREN's AI is designed to be helpful but conservative — it will err on the side of directing you to professional help.
  • The AI does not have access to real-time information about specific legal cases or ongoing investigations.

Acceptable use

AUREN is free to use for personal, family, and educational purposes. Please don't attempt to abuse, overload, or circumvent the rate limits on the chat assistant or newsletter form, or use the service for anything unlawful.

Content and accuracy

We work to keep AUREN's guidance accurate and evidence-based, and we cite our sources where we can. Legislation, platform features, and online risks change quickly — always check the primary source (linked throughout the site) for anything time-sensitive or high-stakes. If you spot something wrong, please tell us.

Links to other websites

AUREN links to external organisations such as CEOP, IWF, the ICO, and Ofcom for reporting and reference. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date of the most recent substantive change will be reflected once this page has completed legal review.
