Screen Time
Apple's built-in parental control system, called Screen Time, can be set up directly on a child's device or managed remotely from a parent's device via Family Sharing.

What It Can Do
Content & privacy restrictions — block explicit content, restrict app store downloads by age rating, and lock specific apps
App limits and downtime — set daily time budgets per app category, and schedule device-free hours
Communication limits — restrict who a child can call, message, or FaceTime with, including during downtime
Purchase and download approval — require a parent to approve app installs and in-app purchases
Where To Find It
Screen Time is found in the Settings app, and can be configured for a child's device directly or remotely through Family Sharing on a parent's device.
